Pope still in denial of reality

He’s still at it: apparently, using condoms won’t halt the spread of AIDS in Africa, but abstinence will. Logically he’s right about the second part of that thesis, but humans just can’t seem to help themselves. So he’s simply denying reality in the hope that people will do as he says. Dream on.

He’s dead wrong on the first part though. Condoms are very effective at reducing the incidence of all kinds of STIs, not to mention their impact on the overpopulation problem in Africa. But his theology won’t let him admit this, so yet again he rejects reality in favour of superstition.

For the second time today: religion poisons everything.
